![]() ![]() She suggested 2 plates of oysters because they are so good we will want more than one each. We ordered a few appetizers- onion rings and pan fried oysters. Our waitress, Destiny was very attentive, friendly and helpful. We moseyed over to the bar, order cocktails while we waited. The hostess was welcoming and assured us we would have a table in about 20 min. The place was hopping with no seating available. We showed up at 6 pm which is peak dinner hour in downtown McMinnville. The most recent visit we were a party of 5. I can go any night of the week and expect excellent cocktails and well prepared flavorful food. Now, post pandemic they have remained consistent and delicious. La Rambla definitely gets busy, so I would recommend making a reservation on busy evenings.ĭuring the pandemic they elevated their dinner menu when other establishments were closing or struggling to maintain. They have an extensive wine and port menu and some fun dessert wines/cocktails to try out. I'd recommend leaving the kids at home and making this a date night option as the dishes are pricey (worth it though!) and I don't think I saw a kid's menu. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was friendly and attentive. We finished off our dinner with yummy churros, though the ganache that came with it was a little too rich for me (this is just personal preference). The crispy pork was perfectly crisp without being overcooked and the flat iron steak was mouthwatering. The paella was on the salty-side, but was definitely flavorful, delicious, and had a full mixed variety of seafood, chicken, and pork. We ordered the house special paella and from the tapas menu, we ordered the crispy pork belly and the coffee dusted grass fed flat iron steak. Do yourself a favor and skip this place.Delicious! La Rambla was a surprising find during my weekend stay in Oregon. We won't be back, and there were at least 4 other people in the restaurant when this occurred that were disgusted with the conditions and the management's treatment of the family in line ahead of us. I've never seen a restaurant manager hide an inspection report and try to use blackmail to avoid negative reviews. My dining partner and I were completely dumbfounded. When they didn't agree and asked to see the latest inspection report and score, he said he would pull it up on his cell phone only if they promised not to post a negative review online. We got in line at the register and saw the manager ask this family if they would accept their meal at half price in exchange for agreeing to not post a negative review online. Today is Octoand there should be a more recent report and score posted publicly. The manager actually ordered the man delete a picture from his cell phone showing the out of date (June 2018) restaurant TN Dept of Health food service establishment inspection report because he said it showed personal information of his (the restaurant manager). We overheard the diners who told us about the ice cream freezer speaking to management at the register about how unacceptable the food and restaurant conditions were. I worry the broken lid could injure someone, especially a child, who tried to open it or accidentally leaned on it. ![]() It was completely unsafe and the ice cream is being exposed to all the mold or fungus growing on the lid of this freezer. There was what appeared to be black mold all over the tape where the condensation from the freezer has been collecting in the folds of the tape. It had layers and layers of old, peeling tape attempting to cover it, but it was not sealed at all. ![]() Half of the sliding door on top of the freezer was smashed through with jagged pieces of the lid splintering all over. When we looked at it, we could not believe what we saw. But that was far from the worst part.Ī fellow diner next to us overheard our discussion of how subpar the food was and asked if we'd seen the buffet's ice cream freezer. There were brown globs of dried goo or liquid all over. After sitting down to eat, we realized the General Tso's and Bourbon chicken were not fresh, extremely soggy, and cold. My family came to eat on Monday afternoon and each got drinks and food.
